Santa’s Satellite: Soviet Space Age Festive Cards

Now as you might have guessed from the latest Radio Clash I’m on a Space Age Santa tip inspired by Mr Fab’s compilation, I didn’t realise that over the Cold War border Santa – or ‘Father Frost’ was also going into space in Soviet Russia. Not Christmas cards as such but New Year ones, and they’re charming – I love how they combine the traditional with the space or jet age (and some propaganda for good measure!). Also combines my current obsession over Russian Santa Claus (must see that movie, although apparently it’s not that great…).
